TINA WILLGREN
Stockholm, SWEDEN
Born in Tierp, Sweden in 1972. Live and work in Stockholm, where I studied at the Royal University College of Fine Arts from 1999-2005. My artwork, primarily video and installations, concern our physical presence and immediate sensory experiences of the world in relation to theoretical knowledge and the techniques used by modern mass media to explain reality and to trigger the imagination. Recent screenings/exhibitions include “Transmediale 07”, Akademie der Kunste, Berlin, Germany, “Videonale”, Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany (March 15-April 15), “S1 Salon”, S1 Artspace, Sheffield, UK , “Impakt”, Utrecht, the Netherlands, “Public Pages”, Poetry and Public Language, Plymouth University, UK/internet.
During the Sumu residency I will film material for a new video, an abstract thriller, as well as exhibiting the program of the fictitious TV channel New Side Channel.
