Call for Turku-Åbo sounds
How does THAT side side of Aura river sounds and how does it not sound?
Open invitation to contribute with sounds to a sound installation and
sound battle with sounds and silences from both sides of Aura river.
The Swedish artist Richard Widerberg invites people from Turku to
collect sounds and silences from THEIR side of Aura river between
November 23 and 28. During this time Richard will meet up in gallery
Titanik in Turku to make soundwalks, lend out sound equipment and give
instructions on how to record and what to record in Turku. The
invitation is open for anyone regardless of interest and knowledge
about sound.
The collected sounds will be used in a sound installation during the
exhibition Sonic Sunrises in gallery Titanik. The sounds will also be
used in an open sound battle between the different sides of Aura river
during the opening of the exhibition on December 3rd.
Richard will be available to meet up both day and evening time during
November 23-28. Please send him an e-mail, call him and suggest a time
