ART CLAY Exhibition starts on 26th of March 2009 in Sumu Studio, Gallery Titanik, and continues until the end of April. Opening: 26th of March, 6-8 pm. Welcome! A performative exhibition of solo objects from Art Clay - The Church According to Marhscall MacCluhan The exhibition brings together a series of new works grouped under the heading TIME.D. Each of the works presented has a common connection to one another through the general concept of time based arts. Further, the exhibition challanges the concept of new media art in that several of the works have „pulled the plug“ and thereby contradicting the MacCluhan’s statement that the media is the message. The media messages has been stranded in an analog world of concrete objects that reference the digital machines as artifacts. * * * The media artist Art Clay was born in New York and lives in Basel, Switzerland.
