Harold de Bree specializes in paintings, installations and performances. His austere and pure objects create brutal and overwhelming images, like a tank, a submarine and a manned rocket with rocket launcher. Brees' work cannot be overseen. It is massively present, and über-clear. De Bree is mad on militairism. Therefore you might see his work as literally copying and reconstructing history. As anti-new and anti-art.You take it for what it is, at least at first sight.

At my job as an radio night technician i get to hear what happens right before the news gets read, proof readings, heavy breathing, sometime's singing or coughing. The sound of someone being 'present' is one of the works.
An other work is about the idea that civil disobedience could cure our sick society.
The third work is a projection of a landscape, a play with scale.

works with ceramics, plates and tiles. Drawing is the main thing in her work. Nonfunctional pieces of porcelain; plates as carriers of unusual images in traditional Delft bleu.
